Construction Equipment, Home, Warehouse to Sell at Absolute Auction in Southern Virginia
(firmenpresse) - HURT, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/21/12 -- A home and warehouse, along with numerous pieces of heavy excavation equipment and trucks, will be sold at absolute auction Saturday, Dec. 15, in Pittsylvania County as part of the final liquidation of Dawson Construction.
"This is one of the biggest auctions of industrial equipment we've had in years," said Jim Woltz, president of , which is marketing the properties and will conduct the auction.
Woltz said the auction provides construction and related businesses with an opportunity to add needed equipment at a fraction of what new equipment might cost. "As the economy picks up, construction companies are beginning to get busier, and some might need to add to or upgrade their capabilities. But cash is short for a lot of companies after the sluggish economy of the past few years, so this is a chance for them to get what they need," said Woltz.
The auction will include a 1,415-square-foot brick home and an 8,400-square-foot shop/office building, which has office space as well as storage and shop areas.
Machinery being sold includes excavators, backhoes, tractors, pickup trucks, tractors, a bailer, trailers, a motor grader and other equipment.
The auction will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 at the property, located at 97 Albeck Drive, Hurt, Va. Auction personnel will be available to provide inspections of the property and equipment on Dec. 1, Dec. 8, and Dec. 14, from 1 to 4 p.m. each day.
