Agency's Use of Digital Tools Ranked Among Continent's Best
(firmenpresse) - EDMONTON, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/20/12 -- (EEDC) has been benchmarked as among the best in North America for its use of digital marketing tools to enhance economic development initiatives.
Montreal-based 's singled out EEDC's last summer to recruit skilled trades workers to alleviate Alberta's labour crunch as well as to communicate to potential workers about northern Alberta's quality of life.
"This recognition is the third consecutive year that EEDC's online engagement has appeared in Intelegia's rankings," says Jenifer Christenson, executive director of external relations at EEDC. Intelegia's index, which studies how well economic development agencies are marketing their regions online for investment attraction, surveyed North America's 40 largest metropolitan cities. "Having a digital presence is a key tool for organizations like ours to engage and share stories with our audiences."
Other top-ranked cities included Chicago, Halifax, Houston, New York City, London and Ottawa.
