Minister Toews Issues Statement on a Removal of "Wanted by the CBSA" Individual
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/20/12 -- The Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety, made the following statement on the removal of Freddy Roland Crawford Venegas, who appeared on the "Wanted by the CBSA" list. He was arrested on November 1 in Toronto by CBSA Inland Enforcement and is inadmissible for failure to comply with the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
"This is the 22nd removal since the launch of the "Wanted by the CBSA" list in July 2011. We are sending a strong message that Canada's doors are not open to those who have broken the law and have endangered the safety of our citizens.Our government is committed to locating and removing those who have failed to comply with the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and are inadmissible to Canada. Individuals who show disregard for our laws will receive a very clear message that our country does not tolerate such activity."
