"The Summit and pitch competition was a giant experiment and by all accounts a success," said Evan Burfield, Chairman of Startup DC. "The charge was to bridge connections between large corporations, startups and policymakers with a focus on key challenges, that when addressed, will make our nation stronger. In addition to the competition, startups and corporations had the opportunity to listen to some of America's top founders, executives, and policymakers discuss the big trends and what comes next in innovation. The startup pitches were impressive and we congratulate all of our presenters on their efforts to make an impact in these critical areas."
