Declining State of Boys: Former National Organization for Women Board Member Speaks on "Boys Crisis"
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/06/12 -- Dr. Warren Farrell, author of the award-winning international bestseller The Myth of Male Power, will present "Transforming the Boys Crisis" in Guelph (Nov 14) and Toronto (Nov 16). Farrell will comment on why boys are a quarter century behind girls.
Dr. Warren Farrell is among the Financial Times Top 100 Thought Leaders and Chair of the Commission to Create a White House Council on Boys and Men.
"Boys are in trouble and someone needs to sound the alarm," said Bradley Corbett, Spokesperson for the Canadian Association for Equality (CAFE). "Male suicides are three times that of females, while undergrad enrollment is a third lower for men than women."
CAFE launched the "Men's Centre Campaign," calling on Canadian universities to follow the lead of SFU which is building a $30,000 Men's Centre on campus.
