Xplanation currently employs over 80 industry experts and is headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, with offices in China, Denmark, France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and USA.
The company started off as a translation service provider in Belgium in 2001, even though its language technology dates back to a spin-off from Siemens' Linguistic R&D centre in 1993.
Since then, Xplanation has come a long way, with double-digit growth for the past few years founded on the development of Tstream®, our translation management system. Tstream® provides translation tools and interfaces for managing ordering and tracking, terminology, content management connections and translation memories.
In 2011, we translated over 123 million words in close to 500 language combinations.
The company offers a wide range of services that help companies convey their messages and sell their products around the world, such as multimedia (voice overs, subtitling), desktop publishing, multilingual SEO, CMS integration or file format migration.
