Arcavias integration into applications made easy
New Release"2012-11"available
(firmenpresse) - The latest release of the eCommerce framework contains a brand new
software layer that saves you much time when integrating Arcavias into a
CMS or a customized application. Instead of taking the burden to
implement your own frontend, the client layer generates the HTML code
without the need to care much about this any more.
Furthermore, Arcavias is now capable of handling real product bundles
that consists of two or more separate products. This also includes
storing the ordered products inside the bundle separately and managing
the stock level of single products without any performance loss in the
frontend.
The implemented basket checks for products, addresses, delivery and
payment objects, etc. were converted to flexible basket plugins instead
of being hard-coded. They can be configured and activated/deactivated
for every site separately and your aren't forced to do this for the
whole installation any more.
There was one area of constant confusion: The orders contained
properties for handling payment and delivery dates and status values but
especially the payment date was called "purchase date". These properties
were renamed and streamlined so their meaning should be crystal clear now.
Last but not least, the Arcavias team is proud to announce a performance
increase for rebuilding the catalog index. Due to a refactored and split
up index manager, the extendability of this part was also severely improved.
