PowerStream to Assist Power Restoration Efforts in Connecticut
More than 350,000 Northeast Utilities' customers still without electricity as a result of 'Sandy'
(firmenpresse) - VAUGHAN, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/01/12 -- PowerStream is sending four, three-man crews in four bucket trucks and three pick-up trucks to Connecticut early Friday morning to assist Hartford-based in restoring power to thousands of customers who have been without electricity since Monday when Hurricane Sandy swept across the U.S. northeast.
Although power has been restored to some customers in Connecticut, as of Thursday afternoon more than 350,000 were still without service.
The PowerStream contingent will be providing assistance over the next week and have joined staff from several other Canadian electric utilities to help restore power safely and as quickly as possible to customers in the U.S. northeast affected by the storm.
