Diameter Signaling and Policy Are Keys to LTE Service Innovation

The company will discuss how Policy (PCRF) transforms service provider business models and matches subscribers with the timely content they desire. Tekelec will explain its "" vision of expanding Policy and analytics functionality to the mobile device, over-the-top (OTT) applications, and mobile advertisers.

Tekelec's research shows that Policy-based messages per second (MPS) will be the biggest contributor by far to Diameter traffic over the forecast period. By 2016, Tekelec forecasts policy to generate more Diameter MPS than online charging, offline charging and mobility combined.
