Tilera Names Industry Veteran Alex Parshad as VP of Sales
(firmenpresse) - SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/30/12 -- , the leader in manycore general purpose , today announced that Alex Parshad has joined the company as vice president of sales. Parshad will be in charge of growing and managing the global field organization and overall sales for Tilera, including the industry leading 64-bit which delivers the highest performance-per-watt and broadest performance range of any multicore processor available today.

Parshad has held senior field positions at Broadcom and Synopsys overseeing their rapid growth in their global major accounts including Cisco, NEC, Fujitsu and ARM. He was the founder of Symmid Semiconductor, a provider of custom SoC-ASIC services to leading networking and multimedia companies and most recently Parshad was the general manager of the ASIC business unit for Arrow Electronics where he implemented the global sales and marketing strategy for Arrow's Custom Logic Solutions, resulting in a significant number of new design wins in their targeted vertical markets.
Mr. Parshad holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Washington, and has completed MBA coursework at Stanford University.
