DaBet Co-Executive Produced Franchesca Robi's New Album "Remembering The Platters: Songs Of My Father" Released Monday, October 29, 2012
(firmenpresse) - LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/29/12 -- DaBet Music Services, which opened its doors in January 2009, has a refined mission and new business address effective immediately, according to company president and founder Angela Rose White, daughter of the late award-winning composer David Rose.
DaBet Music Services now will serve primarily as a consulting company that provides organization and basic evaluation of music catalogues, copyrights, income streams and management for music catalogs, focusing its publishing and administration services on existing clients such as Shakim Williams, Paul Casey, Martha Robi Publishing and Franchesca Robi (Gilchriese).
White decided to change her company's focus after frequently discovering that songwriters/publishers or their heirs and representatives were not aware of the fundamental aspects of song ownership and copyrights.
"Catalogs with a long history have particularly special needs because of the time that has passed and the unavailability of contracts," explains White. "This requires time and research, followed by a method of organization and maintenance. We are all passionate about music and copyright and find that the most fulfilling aspect is searching and solving.
"We think of ourselves as 'music detectives' who research titles, sources of royalties, historical trails for music copyrights, and past and current activity (licensing)," adds White, who also has served as chief operating officer of the independent David Rose Publishing Company since 1996.
One of DaBet's current projects involves co-executive producing the debut album of Franchesca Robi, daughter of the late Paul Robi, an original member of The Platters that hailed as one of the most successful music groups of the 1950s rock 'n' roll era. Her album, titled "Remembering The Platters: Songs of My Father," features several of the group's No. 1 hits including "Only You," "The Great Pretender," "Smoke Gets in your Eyes," "My Prayer" and "(You've Got) The Magic Touch." The album is being released Monday, October 29, 2012.
In addition to DaBet's new mission, the Los Angeles-based boutique company has moved its business office location to The Terraces, 12711 Ventura Blvd., Suite 217, Studio City, CA 91604, sharing the address with David Rose Publishing Co.
