Mirada Introduces the Workflow Box -- An Auto-Contouring Black-Box Server
(firmenpresse) - BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/29/12 -- Mirada Medical is introducing yet another milestone for radiation therapy planning and assessment (booth 5109) at the annual American Society Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) meeting being held this week in Boston, Massachusetts. The is a black-box server that performs automated processing, such as atlas-based contouring and re-contouring for adaptive therapy. Since it requires no user interaction and offers the benefits of batch processing, it substantially reduces user time to perform such tasks, increases efficiency and integrates seamlessly within existing departmental workflows.
The server operates via standard DICOM protocols, meaning that it can integrate with any scanner, treatment planning system (TPS), PACS or third party workstation. Users can route all planning studies to the server for auto-contouring and transfer to the TPS. Workflow Box also integrates tightly with Mirada's other radiation therapy products, including its RTx radiotherapy planning and assessment software and Chartround presentation product Casemeeting.
Mirada Medical will also introduce a new version of its RTx software at ASTRO featuring new atlas-based contouring and ground-breaking 4D workflows. The new features, which include live contouring of playing 4D cines and automatic ITV generation using deformable registration, offer the potential of significantly increased efficiency and confidence in 4D planning.
