Tekelec's Policy Server "Sets the Standard in the Industry" According to Current Analysis Review
Receives "Leader" Rating for Policy Control Products
(firmenpresse) - MORRISVILLE, NC -- (Marketwire) -- 10/25/12 -- received the highest rating in the policy and charging rules function (PCRF) product review category from industry analyst firm Current Analysis for the second consecutive year.
Tekelec was the only independent policy provider to exceed the product class average in every category: overall rating, capacity, support, features and deployment. In addition, Tekelec was the only vendor to achieve "Leader" ranking for capacity, which Current Analysis called the product's "standout strength."
"Given its deployment footprint, impressive performance capabilities, and new all-encompassing Policy Everywhere framework and policy products, the Tekelec Policy Server still sets the standard in the industry against which all other policy controllers are measured," said David Snow, principal analyst, IP services infrastructure at Current Analysis.

Tekelec's new framework evolves policy management well beyond fair usage and tiered services to mobile devices, over-the-top (OTT) applications and business intelligence. The firm also called the product "one of the most prolifically deployed platforms on the market" and said, "An operator that deploys the Tekelec Policy Server is unlikely to have any difficulty integrating the platform into its policy and charging infrastructure."
