Zephyr Technology Announces Collaboration With Massachusetts General Hospital

Massachusetts General earned the top spot in US News and World Report's annual "Best Hospitals" for 2012. The announcement comes in conjunction with Zephyr's participation at Partners Connected Healthcare Conference, in Boston, October 25-26.
Massachusetts General Hospital and Zephyr are taking part in a clinical trial evaluating Zephyr's BioHarness™ and ZephyrLIFE™ Monitoring System. The ZephyrLIFE™ System combines multi-parameter vital signs, encrypted wireless communications and an intuitive notification graphics display to deliver seamless patient monitoring for general care. Zephyr will be previewing the system at the Partners Connected Healthcare Conference, October 25-26 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel.

The BioModule, weighing less than 1 oz., is attached with two Holter electrodes and provides ECG, R-R, HR, HRV, Respiration Rate, along with 3D accelerometry to measure posture, position, movement, and activity. ZephyrLIFE™ allows the seamless monitoring of up to 50 patients per instance -- providing minute-by-minute updates as well as instant physiological alerts sent to the clinical care team via text message.
