Cameron Rees Joins Macquarie Private Wealth Public Venture Capital Group

(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/22/12 -- Macquarie Private Wealth today announced that Cameron Rees has joined the firm as Vice President, Public Venture Capital, based in the firm's Calgary office. This new role underscores Macquarie's established and growing commitment to the public venture capital sector and builds on the firm's client coverage capabilities and market expertise.

Mr. Rees has been involved in a significant number of transactions in the public venture capital market throughout his career. Prior to joining Macquarie, Mr. Rees spent 12 years with the Calgary office of the TSX Venture Exchange, where he most recently oversaw the Calgary Listed Issuer Services team and was actively involved with listings, financings and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Rees holds the CA designation and earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary. His other career experience includes a previous role as Vice President, Finance of a public oilfield services company, and Controller of a regional financial institution. He began his career at Deloitte Haskins and Sells in Calgary.
