Take Your Skis for Free on Monarch Airlines Flights to Top Ski Destinations for Winter 2012/13
(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 10/19/12 -- Skis can be carried free of charge on Monarch Airlines' new routes to key ski regions for Winter 2012/13, for passengers booking before 31 December. The new routes to Grenoble in France, Innsbruck in Austria and Friedrichshafen and Munich airports in Germany are all famed for their excellent links to resorts covering the Western, Central & Northern Alps as well as the Eastern Alps in France, Switzerland, Bavaria and Austria.
As well free ski carriage, saving GBP 39.98, there are a variety of other offers and add-ons available on a new ski website together with a host of information, resort guides and regular blogs by number one British woman skier, Chemmy Alcott, brand ambassador for Monarch ski. Chemmy offers information and tips for a perfect skiing holiday and invaluable advice for novices and experienced skiers alike.
More than 100 ski resorts can be reached using the new Monarch routes. Friedrichshafen in Germany is close to St Anton, within two hours of Grenoble in France you will reach the fashionable resort of Val d'Isere, less than 90 minutes from Munich is Soll, a large village with great slopes and apres ski and just one hour from Innsbruck in Austria is Mayrhofen, a pretty town in the Ziller valley. Complementing these new services, the airline's existing services to Venice and Verona, which will operate year-round, are ideally placed for access to the Southern Alps and the Dolomites and the established route to Barcelona is only three hours from Andorra.
Of the new routes, Munich has already started with the others launching in the middle of December in time for the peak ski season and running to April 2013, concluding with the Easter holidays. Routes to Munich and Grenoble airport will be further supported with additional flights starting in December from Monarch's new base at Leeds Bradford International Airport. In total there are 36 flights a week to the new destinations from Manchester, Gatwick, Luton, Birmingham and Leeds Bradford airports.

New scheduled ski flights for Winter 2012/13
