Opflex Solutions Launches a Campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness With the American Cancer Society(R)

(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 10/18/12 -- Oil companies, oil spill contractors, government agencies, consumers, and all customers of Opflex Solutions can now feel even better about their efforts to clean their waterways. Opflex Solutions is honoring National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by launching a campaign to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. 10% of all sales of pink products based on OPFLEX® Technology will be contributed to the American Cancer Society to help battle the disease.

Opflex Solutions Founder and CEO, Scott C. Smith, says, "We are honored to join the American Cancer Society's Cancer Awareness program and to contribute to the fight against cancer with OPFLEX® Technology. We will donate 10% of the proceeds of our sales of pink OPFLEX®."

OPFLEX® Open Celled Elastomeric Sorbents are 100% American-made, reusable, and recyclable. OPFLEX® Technology works quickly and efficiently to remove oil from water in all weather. OPFLEX® BOOMS, MOPS, SWEEPS, and PADS were tested in the REAL WORLD (not in a lab) with oil sheen, diesel fuel, bunker oil, heating oil, emulsified oil, weathered oil, and even subsurface oil plumes. It proved so effective that BP purchased 2 million square feet of OPFLEX® material for cleanup of the Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill. Subsequent deployment in China (Dalian Spill), Italy (Costa Concordia Disaster), Montana (ExxonMobil spill), and New Bedford / Cape Cod Massachusetts continued to prove the efficacy of the OPFLEX® Technology. OPFLEX® products are truly green and low carbon impact (LCI®), from manufacturing to reuse and recycling. With a low density of 1.5 PCF, OPFLEX® products are easier to deploy. OPFLEX® products absorb up to 30 times their weight in pollutants, always maintaining positive buoyancy. Recent industrial wastewater testing, after OPFLEX® filtering, using EPA method 1661 resulted in significant reductions in oil, grease, suspended solids, and biological oxygen demanders, significantly reducing EPA fines.
