"Many single buyers are looking for a great location that is near their place of employment," Bennett comments, "and condos are more likely to be situated in downtown or more commercial areas. In fact, many of the newer condominium communities feature retailers, restaurants, and other places of employment on their ground floor. Additionally, Ottawa's condominiums are often convenient to cultural events, entertainment venues, and other popular destinations."
The size of the condominiums offered by Qualicum Woods Crossing and other communities are often a factor, notes Bennett. She explains that single homeowners are frequently looking for lower maintenance properties, and with a condo they have a minimal amount of upkeep for which they are responsible.
