Milestone Scientific Announces Partnership Agreement With the University of Florida
(firmenpresse) - LIVINGSTON, NJ -- (Marketwire) -- 10/16/12 -- (OTCQB: MLSS), the recognized leader in advanced, computer-controlled injection technologies, today announced that it has entered into an educational partnership with the University of Florida College of Dentistry, whereby Milestone will supply its STA Single Tooth Anesthesia System® (STA System) for use by the university faculty to train students. Milestone will provide ongoing training support for the university faculty and its students.
The University of Florida College of Dentistry is one of six health colleges at the UF&Shands Academic Health Center in Gainesville, Fla. The college is the only state-sponsored dental school in Florida and is a national leader in dental education, research and service. As of 2012, 329 D.M.D. students and 133 residents were enrolled in the college. Since 1972 the college has graduated 2,423 dentists. The college operates dental centers that train dental students and residents in four Florida cities and, together, they provided more than 110,000 patient visits last year. Hialeah Dental Clinic averages 200 patients weekly providing comprehensive oral care to children, adults and senior citizens.
