As More Trucks, Locomotives and Ships Fuel With Natural Gas, the Third Annual World LNG Fuels Conference Expands to George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas
(firmenpresse) - HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 10/11/12 -- The 2013 World LNG Fuels Conference will be held at Houston's George R. Brown Convention Center January 21-23, 2013. In its third year, the World LNG Fuels Conference creates an environment for productive business development, market awareness, and cultivation of new relationships. The event attracts key decision-makers, buyers and influencers representing leading organizations from around the world. Industry and government organizations such as NGV America, the Gas Technology Institute, CalStart, and the Texas General Land Office are coming together to support the event.

For high fuel consuming fleets, liquefied natural gas (LNG), not compressed natural gas (CNG), is the phase of choice. In liquid form, LNG provides more than twice the energy density of CNG storage, enabling greater range and higher productivity.
"LNG offers great potential for fleets suffering from high oil prices or constrained by emissions regulations," says Tom Campbell, an LNG fuel analyst at Zeus. "With four new engines models set to enter the market beginning early 2013, consumption of domestic natural gas by high horsepower applications will only increase."
New heavy duty natural gas engines are being introduced by Navistar, Cummins, Westport and Volvo. With each new introduction, competition rises and costs fall. Moreover, fleets grow more accustomed to LNG fuel operations.
