This talk introduces the different aspects of Spring Data Neo4j and shows applications in several example domains. During the session we walk through the creation of an engaging sample application that starts with the setup and annotating the domain objects. We see the usage of Neo4j Template and the powerful repository abstraction. After deploying the application to a cloud PaaS we execute some interesting query use-cases on the collected data.
Presented by Neo's Emil Eifrem, CEO, and Michael Hunger, head of Spring integration
Wednesday, October 17th, at 2:45 p.m. ET at the Washington Hilton
This session will provide a close look at the graph model and will offer best use cases for effective, cost-efficient data storage and accessibility. Takeaways will include an understanding of the graph database model, how it compares to document and relational databases, and why it is best suited for the storage, mapping and querying of connected data. To be included is a hands-on guide to Spring Data Neo4j, which provides straightforward object persistence into the Neo4j graph database.
Presented by Stephan Armbruster, engineer at Neo Technology
Thursday, October 18th at 8:30 a.m. ET at the Washington Hilton
The past few months have seen the establishment of the Grails Neo4j plugin, which is now in a phase of stabilization and is already used in production. This session will provide a demo covering the usage of Neo4j in multiple setup scenarios, such as embedding and REST. We will show how a domain model is decomposed into Neo4j's node-space, and the potential of graph-specific capabilities like traversals and cypher queries. The session will also offer a case study covering our experiences running the Grails Neo4j combo under high load in a real production system.
Featuring author Michael Hunger of Neo Technology, this eBook will show you how Spring's data access framework can help you connect to either non-relational or relational databases, or a combination of the two. Relational database technologies continue to be predominant in the enterprise, but they're no longer considered a "one size fits all" solution - learn how to increase your options.

Graphs are everywhere. From websites adding social capabilities to Telco's providing personalized customer services to innovative bioinformatics research, organizations are adopting graph databases as the best way to model and query connected data. Neo Technology researchers have pioneered graph databases since 2000 and have been instrumental in bringing the power of the social graph to customers such as Adobe, Cisco, and Deutsche Telekom. Now in production for nine years, Neo4j is the world's leading graph database with the largest ecosystem of partners and tens of thousands of successful deployments worldwide.
