Do I Need Another TV Licence for My Caravan?

In a recent survey by the provider it was revealed that nearly a fifth of 'vanners still watch TV when they are staying on a caravan site therefore it is important that 'vanners are aware of the rules surrounding TV licences in caravans and motorhomes. Being caught without a TV licence can result in a fine of GBP 1000 and a court appearance.

It is worth checking with your site provider about your TV licence, as it may be included in the site fees you are already paying.
Officers from TV Licensing may visit the licensed place at any time to check that their records are correct and inspect TV equipment. Therefore it is important to check you are covered.
Andy Leech head of Safeguard said, "Taking a UK break is about relaxing and some 'vanners choose to do this in front or a TV so we hope that all 'vanners have a licence and won't have any fines ruining their summer breaks. It is better to pay GBP 145.50 for a colour TV licence than face an expensive fine."
