Strong September Sales for Volkswagen Canada
60th Anniversary Marked by Record Results
(firmenpresse) - AJAX, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/02/12 -- During the month of September, celebrated its 60th anniversary. The celebrations continued at the end of month, as the company reported its best sales results ever. A total of 5,468 cars and light trucks were delivered by the company's 136 dealers, representing an 18% increase over the same month last year (4,630). Year-to-date, Volkswagen is also on pace for an annual record, having sold 44,919 vehicles, as compared to 40,396 in the same time period last year, an 11% improvement.
"Our long and successful history in Canada was made possible by always offering our customers a winning combination of quality and value," stated John White, President and CEO of Volkswagen Group Canada. "Our strong dealer body ensures that the sales and service experience is second-to-none."
The month of October will mark the arrival of the new 2013 models, including the recently redesigned Beetle, which will now be available with the engine. Also available on the , , , and models, these engines are but one example of Volkswagen's "Bluemotion Technologies," and part of Volkswagen's worldwide "" environmental stewardship initiative.
The 2013 versions of the top-selling Jetta and Passat models have both had their value equations enhanced with more standard features and lower prices. The Jetta will now be available from just $14,990, almost $900 less than last year's model.
