Marlborough Dentists Prepare for Dentistry from the Heart Event in October
(firmenpresse) - MARLBOROUGH, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/02/12 -- According to Dentistry from the Heart (DFTH), a non-profit organization providing complimentary dental services nationwide to people who are in need of dental care, one in three Americans is without dental insurance. To help those in need improve and rejuvenate their smiles, the team at New England Dental Group, a practice, is hosting a Dentistry from the Heart event of their own. The October 13th event will be held at the Marlborough location at 8 a.m. EDT. The doctors say they will provide a variety of dental services and educate patients to help them maintain proper oral health.
The free procedures that will be offered by the include teeth cleanings, fillings and extractions. According to the DFTH website, more than 30,000 patients have been helped through the program since 2001, and approximately $6 million has been donated to DFTH events. The organization was established in 2007 by Dr. Vincent Monticciolo, who has a dentistry practice of his own in Florida. More than 300 dental practices have hosted DFTH events in 48 states.
The doctors at New England Dental Group are hopeful that the upcoming DFTH event will serve as a great opportunity for patients in need to take advantage of the services offered. They add that they are excited about the opportunity to give back to their community and further promote dental awareness through hosting the event.
"This event is important to our practice because we want to give back to the community, help those in need of dental healthcare, and give them a foundation for better oral health," says Dr. Margarita Panajoti. "A person's oral health is directly related to their overall health and our goal is to treat and educate those who are suffering or have not been able to receive proper dental care."
