Media Advisory: Giant Tiger Voluntarily Removes Further Beef Products Based on the Latest Expanded Xl Foods (Est. 38) Beef Product Recall
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/01/12 -- Our customers' safety is paramount and it is imperative to take immediate preventative action to respond to this situation promptly, diligently, and in the best interest of our customers. We have a strong culture of food safety and we are taking every possible step to maintain our high standards for our customers' well-being.
The affected products - were NOT sold in our stores in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and British Columbia.
Giant Tiger Stores Limited reacted immediately and has complied with CFIA warnings. All affected products have been completely removed from the Giant Tiger stores in Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
SKU's removed/recalled are as follows:
Giant Tiger will accept returns of any beef products if customers have a concern.
Consumption of food contaminated with E. coli may cause illness. Elderly, the very young, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk. If you have any concerns, please seek medical advice.
