Better Business TALKS! from the Spectacular Speaking series: First time in Germany.
(firmenpresse) - On 19 November 2012 the event "Better Business TALKS!" from the Spectacular Speaking Series will take place in the Rotonda Business Club for the first time in Germany and they have chosen to stage it in Cologne.
Each of the seven presenters is a rare blend of speaking excellence and teaching passion. Together they are on a mission to lift public speaking skills to the next level, no matter if you are a beginner, a casual presenter or an experienced speaker.
During "Better Business TALKS!" they share their secrets with the public, covering the entire spectrum from preparation to stage presence, from structure to storytelling, from trust to podium use.
The initiator Olivia Schofield who teaches a potent onstage presence says: "An actor is an expert at being someone else, but speakers are experts at being themselves. No matter how much we strive to gain validation from outside, it is worthless without validation from inside."
The full day event features seven workshops, refreshments and catering. Tickets range from 149 EUR to 199 EUR (excluding VAT).

About the initiator:
Olivia Schofield, a Londoner living in Berlin, learnt her craft in the theatre. Olivia however, had a speech impediment which hindered her stage career. She retrained, and armed with a first-class honours degree in Communication and Linguistics, joined the BBC, behind the camera. Olivia noticed the lack of speaking skills amongst business speakers and founded Spectacular Speaking, a project dedicated to raising the standard of public speakers and their presentations. Olivia says, "So much attention is spent on branding, marketing and sales, but hardly any attention is given to polishing the performance of the spokespeople representing the companies". Olivia gathered together a dedicated group of experts to help her on her quest and thus Spectacular Speaking was born.
