30th Apprehension Announced and Five New Profiles Added to the "Wanted by the CBSA" List

(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 09/28/12 -- Today, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced the apprehension of Patrick De Florimonte, whose profile has been featured on the "Wanted by the CBSA" Web site since June 4, 2012 for serious criminality.

The Agency also updated its , adding five more individuals.

De Florimonte was arrested on September 27 in Toronto by the Immigration Task Force, a joint forces operations team made up of officers from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the CBSA. His criminal history includes convictions for trafficking in a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking and obstructing a peace officer in Canada.

The "Wanted by the CBSA" program has proven to be a useful tool in assisting CBSA officers in locating individuals who are wanted for removal. To date, as a result of the program, Canadians have assisted in locating 30 individuals in Canada, while five individuals were located abroad. In addition, the CBSA has removed 20 of these individuals from Canada. The five new profiles added today are featured alongside cases highlighted in the past. Older cases will be archived but remain online for reference.

The public's assistance with the "Wanted by the CBSA" program has been tremendous, and the CBSA continues to encourage the public to frequently visit the "Wanted by the CBSA" Web page.

Members of the public are reminded that they should not take action to apprehend the individuals listed on the Web site.
