(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 09/28/12 -- His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will deliver a speech during a special innovation forum called Spin-off and Startups: Innovation Partnerships Between Universities, Researchers, Institutions and Industry, at 9 a.m., on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at Carleton University (Conference Room, 2nd Floor, River Building).

Organized by Carleton University, the Embassy of Italy, the University of Toronto and the Public Policy Forum, this all-day event will bring together more than 100 presidents of universities, representatives from leading research centres and venture capitalists from Italy and Canada. They will discuss existing agreements between Italian and Canadian universities and explore future possibilities for co-operation, particularly in science and technology, to bolster both the Italian economy and provide a template for the European Union.
