Cornett, Googe & Associates Strengthens Presence in Treasure Coast

LAUDERDALE, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 09/28/12 -- Becker & Poliakoff announced today that Cornett, Googe & Associates, P.A., a Stuart, Florida-based law firm that represents more than 300 community associations as well as businesses, individuals and professionals throughout the Treasure Coast, is joining Becker & Poliakoff. Effective October 1, the attorneys and staff of Cornett, Googe will become part of the Becker & Poliakoff team.
Founded in 1981, Cornett, Googe is regarded as one of the state's preeminent regional community association legal firms. The acquisition will strengthen Becker & Poliakoff's statewide community association practice by enhancing its presence throughout the Treasure Coast area, including St. Lucie, Martin and Indian River Counties.
The principals of Cornett, Googe, Howard E. "Buddy" Googe and Jane L. Cornett, will become Becker & Poliakoff shareholders. Robert Rydzewski, Jr. and Michael Dermody will also become Becker & Poliakoff attorneys.

Effective immediately, Becker & Poliakoff will relocate its Treasure Coast offices to the offices of Cornett, Googe at River Oak Center near downtown Stuart, overlooking the scenic St. Lucie River. Becker & Poliakoff attorney Lance Clouse, a member of the Community Association Law practice group, will also locate in the Stuart office.
