Venture Alberta Forum refreshes brand to VA Angels in lead-up to launch of new Western Canadian Chapters
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/26/12 -- Leading Canadian angel group Venture Alberta Forum (VA Forum) announces the launch of their new brand - VA Angels. The new brand has been created in the lead-up to the opening of new Western Canadian chapters which are set to open in Q4 this year.
"We are excited to be expanding our reach outside of the Alberta provincial borders," said VA Forum Founder and CEO of VA Angels Randy Thompson. "In anticipation of this expansion, we felt that it was a good time to refresh our name and brand removing the regionalism in the name to better focus on the numerous angels living across Western Canada."
Alongside the new name, a new logo has been created and an updated website will roll-out in three phases. The first phase will include a streamlined presentation of entrepreneurial resources and information on the world of angel investing, acting as go-to resource for tech entrepreneurs in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The second and third phases will be focused on the backend database and login system for the member angels allowing them to access and track all of their investment information.
VA Angels is one of the most active investor groups in the country and was recently chosen by Harvard Business School as one of only two angel groups in Canada to participate in a global study on angel investment activity worldwide. The group has been active in the startup ecosystem since 2003.
