The donation was provided to help this organization work with the youth of the inner city with regards to efforts that include after-school academic support and enrichment activities that include drug abuse prevention, conflict management, financial competence and proficiency at taking standardized tests that students will face at different levels of education.
In addition, Parent Citywide African American Educational Focus Group is embarking on another mission that is aimed at purchasing holiday gifts and turkey baskets for families in the Las Vegas area who are in need of food and who will not be able to provide holiday gifts to their children because of a lack of basic funds. This gift and food drive accepts donations from groups and businesses interested in helping the organization provide these need items.
