SEMDA Announces Call for Presenting Companies
Applications Now Available to Present at Region's Premier Medical Device Gathering
(firmenpresse) - ATLANTA, GA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/12/12 -- Medical device and medical device data system (MDDS) companies seeking funding are invited to apply to present at the Southeastern Medical Device Association's (SEMDA) 7th annual conference to be held February 19-20, 2013, at the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center.
Applications are now available at . There is no charge to apply. For companies selected (and that choose to present), the cost is just $750, which includes two conference admissions. Each accepted company will have a mentoring team of industry experts that includes an investor and a CEO, plus experts in legal, commercialization and finance.
A new addition to this year's program is an award for "Best Presenting Company." The winner will be chosen by an independent panel of judges and announced at the end of the conference.
George Barr, president of Smart Perfusion in Charlotte, N.C., participated in the 2012 Conference as a presenting company. "The meeting was large enough to be meaningful and small enough to be intimate. The mentors added clarity to the points I was hoping to make and we made important, key investor contacts," Barr said.
Selected companies will present to seed investors, angel investors, venture capitalists and corporations specifically focused on medical device investment and new technology acquisition. The 2013 conference will also feature informative programs, 1:1 partnering, presentation of the SpotLight Awards and opportunities for attendees to make meaningful industry connections.
