Sherritt Announces Quarterly Dividend

Sherritt International Corporation ("Sherritt") (TSX: S) announced today that its Board of Directors has approved a quarterly dividend, with respect to the third quarter of 2012, of $0.038 per common share, payable October 12, 2012 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on September 28, 2012. This regular dividend is an "eligible dividend" as defined in the Income Tax Act (Canada).
