HMCS Charlottetown Returns to Halifax
(firmenpresse) - HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/10/12 -- The media are invited to welcome Her Majesty's Canadian Ship (HMCS) Charlottetown on return to her home port Tuesday, September 11th, 2012 at 10 a.m. The Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Peter MacKay, will be joined by the Associate Minister of National Defence and Minister of State (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency) (La Francophonie), the Honourable Bernard Valcourt, in welcoming the crew home.
HMCS Charlottetown has been deployed for nearly nine months on Operation Active Endeavour, NATO's counter-terrorism effort in the Mediterranean, and Operation Artemis, the Canadian Forces' participation in maritime security and counter-terrorism operations in the Arabian Sea region with the multinational Coalition Task Force 150 (CTF-150).
