Selling Four Farms in 38 Parcels That Are Part of L&L Farms Owned by Peterson Farms
(firmenpresse) - TULSA, OK -- (Marketwire) -- 09/06/12 -- , the premier brand in real estate auctions and one of the largest sellers of land in the United States, today announced it will auction four farms in Arkansas totaling 3,200 +/- acres on Tuesday, September 25th at 5:30pm CDT. The land, which is a portion of the holdings of L&L Farms, is being sold in 38 parcels ranging from 5+/- acres to 340+/- acres and offers a wide variety of uses in the scenic region of Northwest Arkansas. Bidding in the L&L Farms Auction will take place on site at Parcel 3 in Decatur, AR and remotely in real time at . Parcels 1 through 34 have nominal opening bids of $500 per acre and parcels A through D have nominal opening bids of $5,000 per parcel.
Owned by Peterson Farms, a globally recognized operation and one of Arkansas' largest employers, the land to be auctioned ranges from well-managed rolling pastures to wooded hills and draws that feature native Oak and Walnut trees as well as abundant wildlife. Many of the land parcels have nice building sites with mountain views for private homes or commercial operations. All parcels have road frontage or deeded access to county roads and state highways. In addition to acreage, three parcels to be auctioned include farm managers' homes that are occupied and a fourth contains a poultry operation.
According to Williams & Williams VP of Farm, Ranch and Land Sales Eric Johnson, "The wide variety of land parcels in this auction, means there's something for everyone -- from someone who wants five acres to build a country home to farmers and ranchers who want to expand their operations. We are also selling large parcels of recreational land."
The four farms include Mt. Olive Farm, Turkey Ridge Farm, Y City Farm and Shelley Rd Farm which are located in the Hwy 102 and 59 corridors of Decatur. Hwy 59 is a primary north-south commerce route and the area is easily accessible to nearby communities of Bentonville and Fayetteville as well as the I-540 and Hwy 412 commercial corridors. Wal-Mart's headquarters and the Northwest Regional Airport are approximately 10 minutes away.
Parcels 1 through 34 will be open for inspection on Sundays, September 9th, 16th, and 23rd from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and information is available at Parcel 3. Parcels A through D will be available for inspection on Sunday, September 23rd from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. All parcels will be open for inspection two hours prior to the sale on September 25th.
