Tekelec Names Recipients of First Vince Lesch Innovation Award
Diameter Signaling Router Engineering Team Recognized for Major Product Advancements
(firmenpresse) - MORRISVILLE, NC -- (Marketwire) -- 09/04/12 -- Tekelec has awarded a dozen engineers with its first Vince Lesch Innovation Award, named after the company's former chief technology officer. The group was responsible for dramatic scalability and reliability improvements in Tekelec's , the network element dedicated to maximizing network efficiency and revenue generation in LTE and 3G data networks.
The recipients include: Brian Hassink, Keith Johnson, Mark Kanode, Kedar Karmarkar, Jeff Lanning, Matt McCann, Jonathan Palmer, David Sprague, Mahesh Tomar, Thomas Wagner and Pingao Yu.
Their key accomplishments were creating:
A 5X improvement in messages per second throughput;
A 30X increase in the number of connections; and
A 60 percent decrease in latency
