twenty | one | pilots -- that is, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun -- will celebrate the album's impending arrival alongside their hometown fans with an epic upcoming gig at Columbus's 2,200-capacity Lifestyle Communities Pavilion, slated for October 19th. The Columbus, Ohio-based band is also slated for a New York City headline show, set for September 12th at The Studio (at) Webster Hall as well as return trip to the Republic of Korea to perform at the Global Gathering Festival on October 6th. Additional dates will be announced shortly. The upcoming schedule follows a busy summer itinerary that included the NYLON + Starbucks Frappuccino Summer Music Tour 2012 (alongside Neon Trees and Walk The Moon) as well as such far flung shows as Japan's Fuji Rock Festival and the Republic of Korea's Jisan Valley Rock Festival.
twenty | one | pilots spent much of the past spring in Los Angeles, recording "VESSEL" with superstar producer Greg Wells (Weezer, Aerosmith, Adele, Katy Perry) behind the board. Tracks such as "Guns For Hands" and "Ode To Sleep" see the duo expanding upon the distinctive fusion of piano-driven indie-rocktronica (see tracklisting below).
This summer saw the Fueled By Ramen release of twenty | one | pilots' "three songs" EP, collecting an exclusive new track alongside revisited versions of songs from 2011's self-released, "REGIONAL AT BEST." AbsolutePunk.net declared that album to be "near perfect... creative, meaningful, and top notch in every aspect," adding that "twenty | one | pilots could easily take over the world."
Known for their irrepressible on-stage energy, twenty | one | pilots has also built an avid national following with their joyous live performances. In addition to innumerable headline shows and tours, the band has shared stages with such like-minded artists as Cobra Starship and Jack's Mannequin.
