Oregon Health Authority Awards Cognosante Health Insurance Exchange Interfaces Contract
Cognosante to Develop Interfaces for the State's Health Insurance Exchange and Eligibility Modernization Projects
(firmenpresse) - MCLEAN, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/28/12 -- , a leading provider of IT services for healthcare organizations, announced it was awarded a contract with the Oregon Health Authority to develop interfaces for the state's Health Insurance Exchange (HIX) and eligibility system.
Cognosante will develop external interfaces for the Oregon Health Authority's Health Insurance Exchange and Oregon Department of Human Services' Eligibility Modernization (DHSM) projects. The interfaces will be built to the CMS data hub, insurance carriers, SERFF, and State of Oregon systems. The project commenced on August 10, 2012.

The project is funded through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO) and CMS Center for State Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS) as well as State Medicaid funds.
Cognosante has worked with the Oregon Department of Human Services over the past eight years on the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), Behavioral Health Integration Project (BHIP), State Automated Child Welfare System (SACWIS), Integrated Collections Management (ICMP Project) and COMPASS Project.
