Baymont Inn & Suites Salutes "Noteworthy Neighbors"
(firmenpresse) - PARSIPPANY, NJ -- (Marketwire) -- 08/27/12 -- Honoring the selfless work of their guests, the ® hotel brand today announced the winners of "Noteworthy Neighbors", a Facebook-based contest and sweepstakes designed to recognize the notable deeds of people who are a positive influence in their community.
Baymont Inn & Suites' most noteworthy neighbors are Mike Groesbeck of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; Michael and Alison Schuchs of Fulton, Mississippi; and Marcus King of Platte, South Dakota.
Three months ago, Baymont Inn & Suites launched the contest looking to celebrate people who embody its hometown hospitality philosophy. Baymont Inn & Suites fans were able to nominate worthy members of their communities on the brand's Facebook page by describing the positive impact their nominees have made in their hometowns. The three entrants and their nominees were chosen by a panel of judges and each will receive a $1,000 prize.
Mike Groesbeck was nominated for the superhero feats of charity he accomplishes every day. Mike's work as a hospice worker for the elderly and homebound, a companion for critical care Alzheimer's patients and a driver for a charity meal delivery service is a testament to his sense of commitment to others.
Michael and Alison Schuchs of Mississippi turned the tragedy of losing their daughter in a car crash into an inspirational life mission. They opened a "coffee house" for the children of their community to provide a safe place for kids to go and have fun. Every Friday and Saturday, Michael and Alison work tirelessly to provide meals and words of advice to help keep neighborhood children on the right track.
Marcus King of Platte, South Dakota takes great pride in his community. With tons of drive and dedication, he has organized the restoration and operation of the local movie theater which is now completely staffed by volunteers. In addition, Marcus has helped start a local museum and helped to fund the charity drive for a new community pool.
