New Research by Market Leader Identifies Gaps Between Marketing & Technology Services Used by Agents and Provided by Brokers
Study Identifies Several Specific Marketing and Technology Components That Could Form a Blueprint for Real Estate Brokerages and Franchises Looking to Increase Agent Recruitment and Retention
(firmenpresse) - KIRKLAND, WA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/21/12 -- Market Leader (NASDAQ: LEDR) (), a leader in online marketing and technology solutions for real estate professionals, today released details of a study conducted among more than 2,000 real estate professionals that identified the key marketing and technology solutions used by agents, and highlighted that the gaps between agent expectations and what is provided by real estate franchises and brokerage companies.
The study, conducted earlier this year within the Market Leader and ActiveRain communities, highlights:
Software solutions once considered "cutting edge" are now standard among agents and have begun to be provided by many firms
The top seven software solutions are now used by an average of almost half of all agents, but provided by only 20% of brokers
Four of the top five marketing vehicles used by agents are now online. Direct mail, still an agent favorite, is the only offline favorite
While franchises and brokerage companies are delivering more software to their agents, fewer than 10% of brokers assist agents with their top marketing vehicles
"Far more brokers and franchises are investing in enterprise-wide technology and marketing platforms for their agents, as a means of recruiting and retaining the best agents as well as accelerating their market share and success," said Steve Murray, publisher of REAL Trends. "Many more brokerages and franchises are still struggling to identify exactly what their agents collectively need to be more successful. This research begins to answer that question."
"This type of research helps guide both our brokerage company customers and Market Leader itself," stated Ian Morris, CEO, Market Leader. "We are energized by the results customers are seeing from our lead-to-close software platform and the role it is playing in helping industry leading firms recruit and retain agents, and help those agents increase their productivity."
