We believe that telecom landline operators view the product as a key tool to retain landline customers who would otherwise switch to their mobile phones.
AirTouch has announced distribution agreements with TeleDynamics, an award-winning wholesale supplier of telecommunications products, and GetWireless, a cellular solutions distributor.
Unicell has placed an initial order for the purchase of 1,000 units of the HomeConneX®. Through their distribution partner, Unicell, AirTouch intends to sell the HomeConneX® to several mobile operators including Airtel, Tigo, Glo and Vodafone.
This product bridges the gap between smartphones and landlines. Users are now able to make calls over their landline using home or office Wi-Fi networks. The ultimate goal is to launch the device globally with software applications currently under development by AirTouch on their proprietary Global Device Management System (GDMS). This product combines cordless phone technology with up to 10 times more wireless signal amplification. Unlike other products in the marketplace, only HomeConneX® offers both voice and data capability. This device provides a better option for poor signal quality and call dropping areas as well as areas with limited or no landline infrastructure.
Revenue for the second quarter ending June 30, 2012 totaled $545,444, an increase of 118%, as compared to $250,499 for the same period the year prior. Revenue for the six month period ending June 30, 2012 totaled $773,667, an increase of 62.1%, as compared to $477,217 for the same period the year prior. The increase year-over-year during both periods reflects the sale of the SmartLinX™ product.
