Foundation to Partner With car2go for 2012 Team LIVESTRONG Challenge in Austin

In recent months, car2go has expanded its presence in Austin by increasing its operating area and network of cars, as well as unveiling a designated car2go parking spot at the Foundation's headquarters at 2201 E. 6th St. The spot also includes an electric charging station to accommodate the program's electric car fleet.

To celebrate its 15th year of serving people affected by cancer, the Foundation's 2012 Team LIVE Challenge Austin on Sun., Oct. 21 will be a monumental cycling event in the heart of downtown Austin. Leaving from the north side of Palmer Events Center on Riverside Drive, cyclists will ride 20 - 100 miles, based on their experience and fitness level. is now open and the entry fee for all riders is $50. For those passionate about fighting cancer, the Foundation offers additional fundraising opportunities while supporting programs and services for cancer survivors and their loved ones. Keeping with the tradition of all Team LIVE Challenge events, the Foundation will host a post-event party for riders and spectators complete with local food vendors, Team LIVE sponsors and there will be an activity area for kids.
