As travellers' thoughts turn to planning their , Sunwing is making it easier than ever for residents of Alberta to head south, by adding Fort McMurray and Grande Prairie to the list of the departure airports offered by Sunwing Airlines. Area residents will be offered weekly Wednesday flights to the beautiful beaches of and in Mexico with departures starting December 19, 2012 to March 20, 2013.
"Sunwing is already running very successful year round programs from Calgary and Edmonton and the response from travellers and travel agents in Alberta has been extremely positive," said Daryl McWilliams, vice president of sales and marketing. "Sunwing is famous for its 'bringing our plane to your door' program, serving communities across Canada with direct air service to the sun, and we're proud to have added Grande Prairie and Fort McMurray as our 32nd and 33rd gateways to the sun."
All vacation packages include flights aboard the "high frills" , where passengers are treated to the award winning Champagne Service, which includes hot towel service, a choice of hot meals at lunch and dinner served with choice of wine, and complimentary in-flight entertainment, including first run movies. For just $40 more per flight segment, travellers can upgrade to Sunwing's Elite Plus service, which features advance seat selection, separate check-in at a majority of airports, advance boarding, 30 kg baggage allowance, and extra legroom seats.
