Vendum Batteries Identifies Opportunity in Greeting Card Business
(firmenpresse) - EL SEGUNDO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/08/12 -- Vendum Batteries (OTCQB: VNDB) (PINKSHEETS: VNDB), a battery technology development company, has identified a significant opportunity in the market for electronic greeting cards.
Vendum is aiming to cooperate with Green Greeting Card Companies and other major producers such as Hallmark for use of the Vendum carbon nanotube paper batteries in greeting cards.
CEO Rune Vind comments, "Using Vendum's paper-based carbon nanotube battery is a logical next step for the major producers of greeting cards. Using our battery as part of the paper for the greeting card will bring great benefits to the environment, while making the production of the greeting cards themselves simpler and easier."
Global Industry Analysts Inc. expects the global market for greeting cards to exceed $30.4 billion in 2015, and Hallmark is with a $4 billion revenue in 2009 by far the biggest producer. A Letter of Intent with Hallmark for delivery of paper battery greeting cards could significantly ramp up the revenue for Vendum by 2016.
