Dramatic Dark Skies Train Ride at Verde Canyon Railroad

The Verde Valley Astronomy Club will focus their telescopes on the heavens from the open-air cars aboard the special .
"With the path of the train, miles from the lights of the nearest towns, the skies will be dark enough to see even some of the fainter constellations not seen from the city," says Verde Valley Astronomy Club President J.D. Maddie.
Each open air car will have a volunteer from the Club to unlock the secrets of the night sky. "As an astronomy club," says Maddie, "we enjoy 'bringing the universe down to Earth.'"
