The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people with sensitivities to gluten not to consume the Healthy Times brand Oatmeal Cereal for Baby described below. The affected product may contain gluten which is not declared on the label.
The affected product, Healthy Times brand Oatmeal Cereal for Baby, product of USA, is sold in 170 g (6 oz) packages bearing UPC 0 48685 71786 8 and a USE BY date of 15 APR 2013.
This product has been distributed in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia and may have been distributed nationally.
There has been one reported reaction associated with the consumption of this product.
Consumption of this product may cause a serious reaction in persons with sensitivities to gluten.
CFIA is working with the Canadian importers to have the affected product removed from the marketplace.
