Currys and PC World to Promote Sony Bravia TV's Featuring BBC Sport App

(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 07/31/12 -- Currys and PC World, part of Dixons Retail plc, one of Europe's leading specialist electrical retailing groups, have unveiled several new promotional banners and dedicated web pages to promote their range of Sony Bravia TV's which include the popular BBC Sport application.
The electronic giants currently stock two variant sizes of the popular Sony Bravia which also features the integrated BBC Sport application: SONY KDL46HX853BU 46" and SONY KDL55HX853BU 55". Both televisions are fully HD compatible and include services.
The Currys and PC World homepages will feature specially created banners promoting both the Sony television and the BBC Sport app. The banners and dedicated marketing web pages will emphasise the multi-coverage capabilities available through the app as well as on-demand services.
Launched back in June, the BBC Sport app allows users to watch the biggest sporting events live or on-demand on their Sony Bravia . The unique collaboration has given users a wider scope of visual viewing. For example during Formula One races televised on BBC One, fans will be able to access alternative interactive options, such as the driver tracker, which follows each car throughout the race, and multiple cameras. Viewers will also be able to watch the free practice rounds not otherwise shown on the televised during a Formula One weekend on the BBC.
Both televisions are currently available for home delivery from the Currys website.
