Invest Southwest Capital Conference Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary
Investors and Selected Companies Will Experience a Landmark Event That Promises to Promote the Best of the Southwest
(firmenpresse) - SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- (Marketwire) -- 07/24/12 -- Invest Southwest, the premier capital conference in Arizona, is gearing up for its 20th year of showcasing some of the most promising emerging companies in the Southwest. This November, a handful of carefully selected startups from around the region will present their ideas to regional and national investors at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale, Arizona.
"For the past 20 years, Invest Southwest has showcased the top emerging companies in our local and regional markets and provided them with a forum to promote their companies to active investors. Companies interested in presenting at this year's conference can submit early-bird applications by Wednesday, August 1st. The final application deadline is 5:00 p.m. (AZ time) on Thursday, August 30, 2012. Applicants are screened by the Invest Southwest Selection Panel, which is comprised of local and regional investors.
"We have seen a trend of improvement in the quality of applicant companies over the recent years, as well as an increase in volume of companies, with more than 130 applications last year. With the undercurrent of growth that the regional technology market is experiencing, we expect the trend to continue this year and are excited to see what the 2012 class has to offer. More importantly, we are interested in shining the national spotlight on these high potential companies and helping them attract investor capital through their exposure at the conference," said Dax Williamson, Selection Panel Co-Chair 2012 Chairman of Invest Southwest who works with Silicon Valley Bank, Tempe, Arizona.
Companies selected to present at the conference will have the opportunity to be mentored by a team of seasoned experts and investors. As part of the conference, these companies will present their business plans to angel, venture capital, and institutional investors. The conference will take place November 28-30.
