TDS Drive Welcomes C. Phillip Joy as President and CEO
(firmenpresse) - BROOKSTON, IN -- (Marketwire) -- 07/16/12 -- Terra Drive Systems (TDS Drive), a leading designer and manufacturer of steerable hydraulic drive systems for on- and off-highway motorized specialty equipment, announces today their new President & CEO, C. Phillip Joy.
For 18 years, Mr. Joy worked for Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in the design, manufacture, and service of aircraft engines, industrial gas turbines, and space propulsion systems. He worked in project engineering, flight test, manufacturing and operations, and strategic planning. He led five divisions of the business and created growth in all.
Upon leaving Pratt & Whitney, Phillip became the President and CEO of Trilectron Industries, which is a Florida company that manufactures a broad line of aircraft ground support equipment. His leadership at Trilectron, Inc. produced a three-fold growth in total sales. Then, he moved on to the Texas based company Stewart and Stevenson, a leading designer, manufacturer, and provider of specialized equipment and aftermarket parts and service for the oil and gas and other industries, where he led the company to double in size after 2.5 years under his leadership.
Mr. Joy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hartford in Connecticut and a Master of Business Administration degree (PMD) from Harvard Business School in Massachusetts. His passion and focus is on helping companies grow and expand their sales and operations.
Phil and his wife Patty are excited about relocating to and living in Lafayette. Newly empty nesters, their youngest son, Garrett, is headed to college while their oldest, Cal, just accepted a position as field engineer at Halliburton following his graduation from college. Phil and Patty are looking forward to having them visit here in Lafayette.
