As Special Advisor, Mr. Belesis will harness his extensive knowledge of the international financial and socioeconomic landscape to support the ongoing WAFUNIF mission and consult on special projects. WAFUNIF is a U.N.-sanctioned Non-Governmental Organization that reports to The Economic and Social Council of the U.N. Mr. Belesis was appointed Special Advisor to WAFUNIF by the organization's President, Dr. Ibne Hassan.
Mr. Belesis serves as Vice President and Chairman of the Board of the (GMDF), which established a strategic partnership with WAFUNIF earlier this year. He will be providing a range of counsel and assistance to WAFUNIF as Chairman of the GMDF, a non-governmental organization focused on providing private sector resources to the international NGO community working to achieve the U.N.'s development goals from halving extreme poverty to halting the spread of HIV/AIDS.
